The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Division concentrates on collecting and disseminating information about crime with the goal of arresting, prosecuting and convicting offenders. Field Intelligence Officers compile large amounts of data associated with police incidents in a proactive attempt to combat crime. Crime analysis is one of many functions of the Intelligence Division.
The Division focuses on studying criminal incidents and identifying patterns, trends and problems that occur within and around Niagara County. When this information is disseminated, it allows for more effective police communication and intelligence sharing between law enforcement entities throughout Niagara County and assists in developing tactics and strategies to effectively respond to patterns, trends and problems.
